Saturday June 13th

Depart Tribeca at 9:00 am, meeting at the farm at 10:30 am return around 4:00 pm. RSVP to by noon on Saturday, May 30.

Do not miss this integral CSA experience! See where your veggies come from, how they are grown and meet the farmers that grow them. The day will include:

  • Walking tour of the farm
  • Collecting eggs from the chickens & visiting the chicks
  • Picnic lunch
  • Weeding the crops–for those who would like to get a feel for organic farming, members are invited to help out on the farm, literally!
  • Optional dairy farm/creamery visit

La Baraja Farm is located in Goshen New York, 65 miles north of lower Manhattan. We recommend CARPOOLING but are looking into a VAN SHARE or CHARTER as needed. Friends and families are welcome!

9:00 AM: Depart Tribeca to arrive at the farm at 10:30 AM. If this feels early, just think how much our farmers do before 9:00 am everyday!
MIDDAY: Potluck picnic: Bring a sandwich/main dish for yourself plus a side/dessert to share.
3:00 PM: Depart farm to beat traffic and return to Tribeca. Depending on time & interest we may opt to visit a dairy farm/creamery on the way back.

Will you be driving? RSVP via email with the subject: FARM TRIP DRIVER with the number of seats you can make available as soon as possible. Also let us know if you have experience driving 15 passenger vans. You will be notified by follow-up email of your riders.

The goal is to match everyone who needs a ride into a carpool. If we have more riders than can be accommodated, we will be renting vans, and these seats will cost approximately $20 each. If you are interested in being matched for a ride or buying a van seat, please RSVP via email with the subject: FARM TRIP RIDER with number of people in your group. You will be notified by follow-up email of your ride arrangement.

  • Lunch: A sandwich/main dish for yourself plus a side/dessert to share
