2009 Inaugural Season Thank You’s:
Thanks to everyone who helped to make the first year of the Tribeca CSA a great success!

First, a big THANK YOU to the Rodriguez family/La Baraja Farm for growing such delicious food! Next, Suzanne from The Friends of Washington Market Park for supporting the effort to start a Tribeca CSA and giving us a beautiful distribution site location within the park, Richard and Kim(NYC Parks) for helping us load and unload crates every week, and NYC Parks and Recreation Department for approving our permit request to distribute fresh, locally grown vegetables to our community.

A HUGE thank you to the core group for creating such a fabulous organization from “scratch” and for constantly working on improvements. Here’s a glimpse of the invaluable work and dedication: Meg coordinated distributions, work shifts and cheese share, Lizz coordinated distributions and events including, “meet the farmer” potluck, spring farm visit and the fall harvest dinner, Ursila coordinated distributions, Akir communicated with Pedro about veggies and farm news, Ivete wrote and distributed weekly newsletters, blog and surveys. Thanks to our member volunteers who took on additional work shifts or offered recipes and other support throughout the season!

Sign up now for 2010 season:
Please take a moment to fill out our survey and get a chance to win $20 OFF next year’s share price. Registration forms will be found at completion of survey.

For current members who would like to ensure a spot for 2010 season, download and mail in registration form with payment(full or partial) by the December 15th deadline. Starting Dec. 16th, depending on availability, we will open it up to new members and 2009 members will no longer have priority.

Important notes for next year:
Distribution times will be 3:30-6:30pm.
Fruit and egg share sign up will happen later on in the winter. Since we’ll be working with a different farm for the fruit, we’ll need a member to be our contact person. Please write back if you’re interested in taking on this role!
